FAQs

Who oversees my loved one's medical needs?

Unlike many facilities, Com for Care Assisted Living team is led by founder and RN, Ann Garcia, who has over 15 years of experience in geriatric, critical care, and medical-surgical care. This means your loved one receive high-level clinical oversight from someone who truly understands complex health transitions.

How do you handle emergencies?

Our home is staffed 24/7. With Nurse Ann’s background in acute hospital settings, we have proactive safety protocols in place. We maintain a high staff-to-resident ratio to ensure help is always available.

I feel overwhelmed by the transition. How can you help?

We understand that move-in day is emotional. Our mission is to take the medical and physical "work" of caregiving off your shoulders. We create a personalized plan of handling the meds, meals, and prioritize safety so you can go back to being a son, daughter, or spouse again.

Can my loved one bring their own things?

Absolutely. We encourage residents to bring familiar furniture, photos, and mementos. Our goal is to make their room feel like their home, not a facility.

What does a typical day look like?

We focus on "Active Aging." Days include chef-inspired meals, social hours, and activities tailored to our residents' interests. We don't just fill time; we create opportunities for joy, connection and belonging.

What are your visiting hours?

8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

We also know that this is your loved one's home. We believe that maintaining strong family bonds is a key part of the healing and aging process

Are there hidden fees for extra care?

We believe in radical transparency. During our initial consultation, we provide a clear breakdown of costs based on the level of care required. No surprises.
